How to get the attention of strangers
Let’s cut to the chase. You have cold leads to warm up, and I have the exact formula to do it.
Structure your emails like this:
Introduce yourself. What’s your name?
Build credibility. Who are you writing on behalf of? What would the recipient recognize about your business? Have you won awards or gone viral in prominent publications?
Reinforce credibility. What credible and popular businesses currently use or buy your product? Hype yourself.
Offer. How can you help them and their business? What are you selling and for how much? Don’t ask a cold lead to request a quote, it’s too much work. Give them the proverbial juice so they can drink it… they shouldn’t have to squeeze their own lemons.
Call to action. Tell them exactly what to do and by when. Is it a time-sensitive offer? Be specific and make it as easy as possible. e.g “Wanna hear more? Simply reply with the word ‘YES’ and we’ll take it from there.”
Thank them for their time. Do it sincerely and don’t expect a reply. If you don’t respect someone’s time, they’ll see you don’t value them— and they won’t value you in return.
