This is the real issue behind your problems.
Your problem isn’t idiot voters, or the tories, or immigration, or under-funded public services.
Your problem isn’t lack of jobs, or automation or terrorism.
Your problem is OVERPOPULATION.
Since I was born in 1990 the global population has exploded from 5.3billion to 7.6billion — a 43% INCREASE.
There are now MORE people than ever putting a demand on public services, government benefit systems & aid. 107 MORE people per square mile in the UK alone.
Services aren’t ‘underfunded’ for a laugh. The NHS for example was just 4% of our GDP when I was born. Next year it’s estimated to be over 7%.
Money is no doubt pissed up the wall (remember the MP’s expenses scandal) and entire publicly funded or subsidised departments have layers upon layers of bureaucracy and middle management.
Designed solely to create jobs for the ever-growing workforce.
How many useless departments have you spoken to in your time? I called a hotel customer service line to cancel a room a few days ago. They put me through to the ‘non-flex’ department as it was a non-flex room… who could do nothing to cancel it.
They said they would NEVER cancel it.
An entire department dedicated to saying “there’s nothing we can do”. Their hotel’s own policy contradicts the need for the existence of that department.
Unfortunately their jobs could be done with an answer-machine to dictate the policy deep into my ear canal.
Even though it’s true that live births are going down (currently) year on year, we still had 8% more babies born last year than in the year 2000.
It’s over 50,000 MORE new ‘dependencies’ on things like schools, food banks, tax credits, GP’s and Hospitals.
SIDENOTE: That actual figure was 731,000 new births in 2018. Only 542,000 people died. That’s only 74% of the number that was born. So it doesn’t even itself out.
I say the year 2000, because babies born in that year would have now been eligible to vote in this recent election.
They’ve only just gotten used to buying fireworks, alcohol & cigarettes. A lot of them are probably still trapped in education, unable to work.
Although it’s fucking gross and definitely illegal, some of them could have given birth to their own kids as early as 6 years ago (do the math). It does happen.
Those would be dependencies of dependencies. A strain on the country. No matter what race you are or what country you come from.
WHAT’S THE SOLUTION?
Where I live in Wales, we generate less money (as an entire country) in taxes than we get back from the UK Treasury. Read that line again. It’s shocking.
Although we’re dealing with A LOT of variables and there’s no simple answer, it can be attacked in large part with this… More taxes or less people.
Hmmm. Pay more or genocide — pay more or genocide? Neither really float my boat if I’m honest.
You need to stop writing status updates or deleting friends for their freedom to express a political stance.
I’ve had more votes since I was old enough to vote than I’ve had actual holidays.
We’d have a much bigger problem if we lived under a dictatorship, or experienced 10,000,000% hyper-inflation like Venezuela.
And before you call me a far-right pig, know that I voted Labour yesterday.
I’m just a realist.
