How do you know if you’re poor or not?

People spend all of their life trying to attain their goals, only to be disappointed. Either they get rich and they’re unhappy, or they stay poor and are unfulfilled.

Rich, in my view, needs to be redefined. Most of you reading this are rich, you just don’t realize it yet.

1.3billion people across the globe live in multidimensional poverty.

This new level of poverty could earn above the $1.90 per day threshold of ‘extreme poverty’ but still have no access to food, electricity, a proper toilet, clean drinking water etc.

That means that 17 out of every 100 people on earth are poorer than you. You are not poor. If you’re reading this on your phone, computer or tablet— you’re rich. If you have access to basic amenities, technology and sustenance, you’re rich.

Happiness then, comes from creating moments of gratitude for what you have now, not moments of envy about what you might never get.
