The truth is, excuses can’t help you
There’s an old, overly-repeated fallacy that “nobody likes their job.”
That’s not true. It should be corrected to “the majority of people don’t like their job.” Maybe you’re one of them.
You may feel trapped, depressed or scared for your future. So how do you get out?
The common resistance to quitting is:
“What else would I do?”
“I’m too old to retain in something else, so I can’t quit.”
“You get the same problems everywhere, so there’s no point to quitting.”
“I’m in debt, so I need my job, I can’t just quit.”
You’ll always find an excuse to stick to what you know. It’s easy, safe and comfortable. That routine might be the only constant in your life.
What nobody tells you about quitting is that there is never a right time. Trying to ‘make it work’ happens in spite of, not because of external factors.
You just need to take the leap, create a plan and execute immediately — or you’ll wake up one day, unfulfilled.
