A multi-millionaire once told me…

“You are a dairy cow for the government—and your milk is taxes.”

There is no benefit to the farmer to let the cow rise through the ranks and be absolutely free.

To the farmer, that’s a loss.

So the goalposts move, to keep the cow silently productive.

More milk, more taxes. Whether you choose to dress it up in an analogy or not, it remains true.

The in-fighting, the politics… None of it matters. Your life barely changes from one party to the next. But one thing is certain, it always gets more expensive to live.

  • You can’t rely on promises of pensions. We’ve seen them get cut.

  • You can’t rely on the promise of retirement. We’ve seen that age increase.

  • You can’t rely on handouts. We’ve seen how they debase money and contribute, ironically, to inflation.

  • You can’t rely on integrity. We’ve seen multiple examples of the government having none.

You have to accept yourself for what you are, a working-class cog in the machine… Let that sink in.

There isn’t room for everyone to win. The system needs more losers than winners to exist. Otherwise, it topples.

So you need to be taking your finances and future into your own hands… and away from the government’s.
